Executive thought leadership – change, educate and influence

Thought leadership content shines a light on your expertise and showcases your industry insight, establishing you as a voice of authority.

The impact of this content increases your influence and brand awareness. It draws on your insight, experience and expertise to create value.

Thought leadership content is much more than mere vanity – it is a powerful marketing tool. It creates conversation, drives change, influences and educates.

Why work with a ghostwriter?

It might be a cliché, but content really is king.

This is particularly true for the women and men at the top – the chief executives and directors of this world who possess the influence and insight to shape the future.

As a professional ghostwriter, I’ll help you tell your story, advocate for your brand and educate your audience.

The benefits of hiring a ghostwriter are real and tangible.

It saves you time, stress and allows you to focus on the one thing that really matters – running your business. Goodness knows, that takes up enough time already.

In short, hiring a ghostwriter can be a clever, cost-effective, time-efficient decision that helps you enhance your reputation as an industry leader.

About

I’m George, a London-based journalist, writer and editor with 15 years’ experience at national newspapers The Guardian and The Telegraph.

I’m also a copywriter, and have written thought-leadership content for leaders in wealth management, finance, property, and plenty of others.

I love learning about people and I’m a natural storyteller.

Working together, I’ll boost your visibility, engage your audience, and establish you as a leading voice, allowing your thought leadership to drive tangible results.

I’ll craft the message you want, the way you want.

The ghostwriting process

Straightforward, informal and collaborative.
1

Consultation

The first step is an initial meeting, either face-to-face or via video call – this is really important as it’s where you lay out the topic you want to discuss and the form it will take – whether that’s a series of LinkedIn posts, a speech, case study or anything else.

2

Project brief

After our consultation, I will then ask you to complete a project brief. This helps me understand your target audience – who they are, and where they are.

3

Initial draft

Once we have established what you want to say, and how you want to say it, I get to work crafting your words into expert thought leadership content.

4

Review

This is where we iron out any edits or changes you would like to make. Project fees include up to three rounds of edits, if required.

Frequently asked questions

01 Why should I work with you and what makes you better than other writing agencies or content creators?

Whereas many copywriters and ghostwriters come from a marketing or advertising
background, I have worked in journalism for 15 years, so I am an expert in storytelling and
narrative construction. If you’re a C-suite executive the chances are you need to
communicate complex ideas, so you need a writer who can quickly take a topic, break it
down and present it. That’s where I offer an edge over other writers.

Ghostwriting project fees start at £500, which is my day rate. Pricing varies depending on
your project length, content and complexity and is agreed at the outset.

Every project fee includes:

  • An initial face-to-face meeting, phone-call or online call
  • The first draft of copy
  • Any necessary follow-up calls or meetings
  • The final draft of copy
  • Up to three rounds of edits or revisions

Every project begins with a signed contract for my services (as much for your piece of mind as for mine). For every project, I ask for 50 per cent of the fee before I start work, and the balance upon completion.

No, fees are agreed in advance and there are no additional costs.

Shorter ghostwriting projects – a 1000-word LinkedIn post, for example – are usually
deliverable within three working days.

Longer content (such as reports or white papers) may take several weeks or longer. Where possible, I ask we agree a deadline in advance.

This is, of course, the key consideration, and I take a collaborative approach to capture your voice authentically. Through interviews and discussions, I get a sense of your tone, style, and messaging preferences.

I’ll also review your past work (if available) to ensure consistency. The goal is for the content to feel like you’re speaking, whether in an article, LinkedIn post, or speech.

Yes, I can write thought-leadership content for social media.

Social media is a crucial part of building a personal brand. I can craft thought leadership posts for LinkedIn and other platforms, keeping in mind your tone, audience and goals. Whether it’s sharing insights, responding to industry trends or promoting your personal achievements, I can help elevate your social media presence.

Yes, I ensure that all content is treated with the highest level of discretion. We can also sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect sensitive information. Your privacy and trust are key to our partnership, and I take every step necessary to safeguard them.

Artificial Intelligence is very much the elephant in the room when it comes to creating content and I will always be honest in my opinion.

Is AI cheaper than hiring a professional ghostwriter? Yes. Will it save you time? Yes. Will the content be readable and easy to understand? Yes.

However, AI-generated content will rarely, if ever, make you stand out from the crowd. It simply lacks the warmth and ability to create tone of voice that a ghostwriter can inject. Research shows that when it comes to content, businesses still prefer the human touch.

If you want corporate content with the minimum effort then AI is for you. If you want powerful, persuasive thought-leadership content that persuades readers and oozes personality, then work with a ghostwriter.
